ASU: Will be a key for the Sun Devils at linebacker...played as a true freshman in 2001 but missed last year due to knee injury...has recovered well from knee surgery and was impressive in winter conditioning...was recognized as a Hard Hat Player for his work in the winter strength and conditioning program.

2001: Played in seven games as a true freshman, a lot on special teams...had three tackles...two tackles came against Louisiana-Lafayette...one tackle for loss for two yards.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2001 graduate of Plano East High School in Dallas, Texas...prior to his senior season was named to the Pigskin Preseason All-Prep team...named to the Dallas/Fort Worth All-Area team...made second-team all-area by the Dallas Morning News...Rivals.com Top 100 recruit...was named Dallas District 9, 5A Division Defensive Most Valuable Player...two-time all-district selection...collected 141 tackles in 11 games as a senior and 141 stops in 14 games as a junior...earned three letters and was a two-year team captain in football...also lettered once in basketball and twice in track.

PERSONAL: Majoring in business (real estate)...parents are Brad (computer engineer) and Cindy (college teacher)...father, Brad, played college football for North Texas and signed a free agent contract with the Indianapolis Colts...mother, Cindy, was a cheerleader at North Texas...born May 5, 1983 in Dallas, Texas.
