ASU: One of the top running backs on the West Coast ... will compete with fellow senior Tom Pace for the starting spot at tailback in the fall ... so far showing no ill effects of the torn ACL he suffered last season ... looks to return to the form that saw him emerge as the second-best rusher and earn honorable-mention All-Pac-10 honors in 1999 ... will also be a part of a trio of Sun Devils who will return kickoffs. 2000: Missed the entire season after suffering a torn ACL at a preseason scrimmage in Tempe ... winner of the team's Clyde B. Smith Academic Award ... was on the preseason watch list for the Doak Walker Award, which is annually presented to the nation's top running back, before suffering his season-ending knee injury. 1999: Honorable mention All-Pac-10 selection ... played in all 12 games ... second-leading rusher on the team with 512 yards ... recorded 1,085 all-purpose yards, second-best to J.R.
