ASU: Strong player with good size … solid tackler … good against the run … will bring quality experience to the defensive front. 1998: Earned one of two Sun Devil Iron Men Awards … started his first game as a Sun Devil in the season opener against Washington … posted four assists … also combined with Quincy Yancy to tackle Maurice Shaw for a three-yard loss that led to a three-and-out for the Huskies … posted one solo tackle and one tackle for loss at BYU … recorded one solo tackle and a career-high tying five assists in the Sun Devils’ 34-15 defeat of North Texas … posted three assists and one tackle for a one-yard loss in ASU’s 24-3 rout of Oregon State … one of the assists stopped the OSU offense after a one-yard rush on first and 15 … recorded one solo tackle at USC … tallied three assists against Notre Dame … posted one solo tackle, three assists and one tackle for an eight-yard loss as a starter in the Sun Devils’ 44-38 overtime win over Stanford … sacked Todd Husak for a loss of eight yards on first and 10 in the fourth quarter … the Cardinal was eventually forced to punt, and ASU scored on its next play to tie the game at 38 and go into overtime … posted two solo tackles, one assist and one tackle for a five-yard loss in the Sun Devils’ 38-28 win at Washington State … the tackle for loss pushed Kevin Brown to his own 17-yard line on first and 10 in the third quarter … recorded two assists in ASU’s 55-22 rout of California … one stopped the Golden Bears offense at the line of scrimmage on second and 10 at their own 25 … posted a career-high five solo tackles, three assists and two tackles for a 10-yard loss at Oregon … the eight total tackles was also a career high … sacked Akili Smith for a loss of nine yards … tallied two solo tackles, two assists and two tackles for a four-yard loss at Arizona … one of the tackles for loss pushed Ortege Jenkins back two yards to give the Wildcats a fourth and five at their own 21 in the third quarter.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 1995 graduate of Valencia High School, Placencia, Calif.… played inside linebacker… earned all-Orange County accolades as a senior by The Los Angeles Times… also named all-league and was selected as a member of the “Hot 100” in the state of California… was Valencia’s Defensive Player-of-the-Year… chosen all-Orange County and all-league as a junior… won all-America recognition as a junior… collected 126 total tackles, two quarterback sacks and six quarterback hurries as a senior… tallied 128 total tackles, two sacks and five hurries as a junior… best game was a 19-solo tackle performance against Anaheim High in 1993… lettered in football and captained the team in 1994… coached by Mike Marruso.
