ASU: Experienced lineman who started 23 of 42 career games at both left tackle and right tackle positions...helped contribute to ASU's potent offense throughout his Sun Devil career...in 2002 he became the first true freshman to start on the Sun Devil offensive line in 12 years, and only the fourth in ASU history...earned Freshman All-American honors as well as the team's Bill Kajikawa Freshmanan of the Year Award.
2005: Played in 10 games, starting the final seven of the season at both left tackle and right tackle positions...provided a veteran presence for the offensive line when called upon to start due to injuries suffered by usual starting linemen Andrew Carnahan, Zach Krula and Grayling Love...contributed to ASU's high-powered offense that ranked second in the nation to only USC, averaging 537.6 total yards per game...the passing offense led the Pac-10 and ranked third in the nation at 373.4 yards per game and ASU ranked eighth nationally scoring 36.8 points per game.
2004: Played in all 12 games...started six games at left tackle, splitting time with first-team All-Pac-10 selection Grayling Love...contributed to a passing offense that led the Pac-10 and ranked fifth in the nation at 317.3 yards per game...ASU also finished third in the league and 16th in the nation in total offense (435.4 ypg) and fourth in the Pac-10 and 32nd in the country in scoring offense (29.3 ppg).
2003: Saw action in eight games...was a solid backup to Freshman All-American Andrew Carnahan at left tackle...played on an offensive line that ranked third in the Pac-10 in sacks allowed (24).
2002: Played in 12 games, starting 10 at right tackle...earned Sporting News second-team Freshman All-American recognition in addition to Pac-10 All-Freshman honors by the same publication...with Jamar Williams, named the co-recipient of the Bill Kajikawa Freshman of the Year Award presented at the team banquet...became the first true freshman to start on the Sun Devil offensive line since 1990 and only the fourth in school history.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of St. Johns (Ariz.) High School...earned first-team all-state honors as a senior...also made third-team All-Arizona on offense and was the region's Defensive Most Valuable Player...member of the Super All-State 2001 Team by Phoenix Metro Magazine...was first-team all-region on offense and second-team all-state on defense as a junior...lettered three times in football, once in basketball and three times in track and field...St. Johns compiled a 33-4 won-loss record during his high school career...placed fifth in the state in the shot put and the discus as a junior...was the state runner-up in the shot put as a sophomore...coached by Mike Morgan.
PERSONAL: Majoring in secondary education...is contemplating a profession as a physical therapist or trainer...mother is Deborah Brown (nurse)... has two older siblings, Parrish Tate and Tamara Nailer...is a cousin of former ASU All-American tight end Todd Heap, a first-round draft selection of the Baltimore Ravens in 2001...is also related to Verl Heap of ASU's Athletic Hall of Fame...born April 23, 1983 in Fairfield, Calif....full name is Chaz Andre White.
