ASU: Walk-on who made the move from safety to the new "Devil" linebacker spot in the spring...will add depth at linebacker.
2003: Member of the scout team...played in one game, Nov. 15 at Washington State...was recognized as a Hard Hat Player for his work in ASU's winter strength and conditioning program.
2002: Redshirted as a member of the scout team.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of Brophy High School in Phoenix...earned two letters each in football and basketball...earned honorable-mention all-region honors in football in 2001...was also a 2002 honorable-mention all-region honoree in basketball in 2002...was coached by Tim Sanford in football and Mark Granger in basketball.
PERSONAL: Majoring in kinesiology...parents are Joe and Lisa Sanchez of Glendale, Ariz....has three siblings: Renita (16), J.J. (15) and Rosie (12)...enjoys playing video games and watching television...born in November of 1983 in Phoenix...full name is Rudy Anthony Sanchez.
