2005: Played in 10 games...joined tailback Keegan Herring as the only true freshman to earn significant playing time in 2005...the first true freshman linebacker to play 10 or more games for the Sun Devils since current Chicago Bear Jamar Williams in 2002...recorded five tackles (three solo) on the season...had his best performance of the season at Oregon State (Sept. 24), tallying a season-high four total tackles (two solo), and a two-yard sack...had one solo tackle at Washington State...saw substantial action as a member of ASU's special teams units.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Cypress Ridge High School in Houston, Texas...a preseason all-region selection in the Midlands area by PrepStar Magazine...named first-team all-District 17 5A at linebacker (unanimous choice)...was Cypress Ridge's Defensive Most Valuable Player...registered 75 tackles, including 41 assists, one sack, nine tackles for loss and two pass breakups as a senior...also added three hurries, one caused fumble, one interception and seven Big Hits...was selected the Player of the Week (11/5/04) against Cy-Fair High with 10 tackles, four assists, one tackle for loss and two Big Hits...also scored the tying touchdown on a fake punt (46 yards) in that game...aggressive, hard-nosed linebacker...was a defensive stopper on the basketball team...named second-team All-District 17 5A in basketball in 2004...coached by Gary Thiebaud, the same coach who coached Chris Baloney and Jamar Williams.
