HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Cypress Ridge High School in Houston, Texas...a preseason all-region selection in the Midlands area by PrepStar Magazine...named first-team all-District 17 5A at linebacker (unanimous choice)...was Cypress Ridge's Defensive Most Valuable Player...registered 75 tackles, including 41 assists, one sack, nine tackles for loss and two pass breakups as a senior...also added three hurries, one caused fumble, one interception and seven Big Hits...was selected the Player of the Week (11/5/04) against Cy-Fair High with 10 tackles, four assists, one tackle for loss and two Big Hits...also scored the tying touchdown on a fake punt (46 yards) in that game...aggressive, hard-nosed linebacker...was a defensive stopper on the basketball team...named second-team All-District 17 5A in basketball in 2004...coached by Gary Thiebaud, the same coach who coached Chris Baloney and Jamar Williams.
