Tillman One to Watch for Butkus Award
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Arizona State outside linebacker Pat Tillman is one of 52 candidates for the Butkus Award, The Downtown Athletic Club of Orlando announced Thursday. The award is presented to the nation's outstanding collegiate linebacker each year and is voted on by a committee made up of 30 national media members. Ten semifinalists will be announced October 16 with the winner announced December 13.
