Tillman Awarded NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship
TEMPE, Ariz.--Arizona State linebacker Pat Tillman was awarded with a $5,000 scholarship by the NCAA for post graduate studies.Tillman, a 3.82 graduate with a Bachelor's degree in marketing, was the 1997 Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year. His teammate, Damien Richardson, was selected as the nation's top alternate for the post-graduate scholarship.
Among the other 11 recepients of the football post-graduate scholarships were Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning and Nebraska defensive lineman Grant Winstrom.
