Arizona Defeats Arizona State

TUCSON, Ariz. -- No. 16 Arizona came back from a two games to none deficit to defeat cross-state rival Arizona State, 7-15, 9-15, 15-2, 16-14, 15-9 and in the process, tied its all-time home winning streak record at 12. Arizona improves to 10-1, 3-1 in the Pac -10, while ASU falls to 9-5 and 0-3.

The Wildcats, who battled back from a 14-8 deficit in game four, are 8-1 in five game matches over the last two seasons. This was the fifth straight UA/ASU contest that has gone the full five games.

Sophomore middle blocker Erin Aldrich led the Wildcats with a season-high 17 kills. Senior setter Michaela Ebben hit .462 (7-1-13) and added fifty assists as Arizona battled back from a 8-14 deficit in game four. ASU outside hitter Terri Cox led all players with 20 kills and 17 digs.
