Arizona State Volleyball Beats Cal In Five Games

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Sun Devil outside hitter Terri Cox had a match-high 18 kills and 20 digs as Arizona State defeated California, 3-2 tonight in a Pac-10 matchup in Berkeley, California. Game scores were 4-15, 7-15, 15-10, 15-12, 15-11.
After dropping the first two games, Arizona State roared back to win the final three games before a crowd of 305 at the RSF Fieldhouse.
Senior middle blocker Kirstin Mattson had an outstanding match collecting 16 kills, 10 digs, one block solo and six block assists for ASU.
The Golden Bears were led by Brook Coulter who had 14 kills and 11 digs on the evening. Teammate Kellie Alva added 10 kills and four block assists for Cal.
Arizona State (11-6, 2-4 Pac-10) will face No. 4 Stanford tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. at Maples Pavilion in Palo Alto, California.
