SUMMER OF 1999: Shot a 71 in the Arizona Open qualifier at Wig Wam...tied for 11th at Arizona Public Links Championship in Tucson (74-71)...first at ASU's Karsten Open with a 137 (71-66)...placed eighth at Mesa City Championship with a 142 (71-71).
MINGUS UNION HIGH SCHOOL: Earned one letter in basketball and four in golf at Mingus Union High School...a 1996 graduate...team captain in junior and senior years...coached in high school by John Udinech...all-conference in junior and senior seasons...second-team all-state in senior year...was a medalist twice in sophomore year, four times in junior year and six times in senior season...finished sixth in state in senior year...won the conference title with a 74-71 at Moon Valley Country Club...shot a 72-71 at the state tournament.
