SUN DEVIL CAREER
Earned first-team Pac-10 All-Academic honors in his final three seasons (2008-2010) and joined a select pair of Sun Devil men's golfers to earn CoSIDA Academic At-Large All-America honors as he earned third-team honors in 2010, as Chris Hanell earned first-team honors in 1997 while Alejandro Canizares earned first-team honors in 2005 and 2006. Borsheim finished his career by playing in 44 events (135 rounds) and had a 73.00 career stroke average with seven top-10 finishes. He finished tied for second at the 2008 ASU Thunderbird Invitational and also tied for third at both the 2009 ASU Thunderbird Invitational and the 2009 NCAA West Regional. One of four Sun Devils who earned honorable mention All-America honors from the Golf Coaches Association in 2008-2009. Also one of two freshmen on the 2006-2007 team who saw significant time in the lineup as he competed in all nine spring events after entering ASU in January of 2007 and then competed in all 12 events in sophomore year (2007-2008). Finance major earned first-team Pac-10 All-Academic honors each of his final three seasons (2008, 2009 and 2010). The top-ranked amateur on Scandinavian pro tour prior to arriving at Arizona State and represented the European Continental team. Also earned a spot on Norwegian World Cup Team. Ended 2008-2009 season ranked 45th by Golfweek which earned him honorable mention honors from the magazine. Graduated Summa Cum Laude in December of 2010 with his B.A. in Finance.
SENIOR YEAR (2009-2010)
Earned first-team Pac-10 All-Academic honors for the third straight year...played in 13 tournaments and had a 72.85 stroke average...tied for tenth at the Pac-10 Championships in Tempe with an 8-under 276...tied for sixth at the NCAA Ping Preview in the first tournament of the year...named the Toyo Tires/Pac-10 men's golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was an honorable mention All-Pac-10 selection...named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar by the GCAA.
JUNIOR YEAR (2008-2009)
Tied for third at both the NCAA West Regional and the ASU Thunderbird Invitational...a first-team Pac-10 All-Academic pick for the second straight year...had five rounds in the 60s...posted season-low 67 in back-to-back rounds at the U.S. Intercollegiate in Palo Alto en route to a tenth-place finish...finished year 45th in Golfweek rankings.
SOPHOMORE YEAR (2007-2008)
One of just two Sun Devils to compete in all 12 events...had four rounds in the 60s, including a collegiate-low 65 in the second round of the Alister McKenzie Invitational on Oct. 8, 2007...65 was third-best round by a Sun Devil on the year...finished second at the 2008 ASU Thunderbird Invitational on April 11-13 with a 2-under 211 (73-68-70)...had his score count in three of the four rounds at the 2008 Pac-10 Championships as he helped ASU win its 12th Pac-10 title and eighth under Randy Lein.
FRESHMAN YEAR (2006-2007)
Posted a 72.93 stroke average in his rookie year, which at the time was the tenth-best by a freshman in ASU history, and tied for sixth at the Oregon Duck Invitational with a 3-over 219 (70-74-75)...low round in freshman year was a 66 at the NCAA West Regional on May 18...posted four rounds in the 60s and ten rounds of par or better.
PREP AND JUNIOR CAREER
Won gold at the Norwegian Junior Championship...took first place on Scandinavian pro tour events...earned silver medalist honors at European Boy's and Norwegian Men's championships...took third place at Danish Open and finished third in Brabazon Trophy race.
