ASU: After two accomplished years on the cross country course, he will take to the track for the first time after redshirting last season...a major reason for ASU's first appearance as a team in the NCAA Cross Country Championships...a member of ASU's stellar 1998 distance recruiting class.
1999 XC: One of ASU's top five finishers at every major meet...placed 18th at the Pac-10 Championships with a season-best time of 24:54...notched a 23rd-place finish at Regionals (31:22) to earn all-region honors...had a 138th-place showing at the NCAA Championships (32:35)...was ASU's fourth-best finisher at all three championship meets.
1999 Track: Redshirted both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
1998 XC: ASU's top finisher in five of six races he competed in...the top freshman finisher at both Pac-10 and NCAA Regional meets...finished 18th at NCAA West Regionals (31:18), the best finish by a Sun Devil since 1991...placed 14th at Pac-10 Championships (PR 24:24), the best finish by a Sun Devil since 1993...three top 10 finishes during season including a third-place showing at Sundodger Invitational...was the third-best freshman at prestigious Bob Timmons Invitational, placing 56th overall.
