Arizona State - 2005 Outdoor: Opened the season strong by winning the 200m dash and placing second at 100m at the Bill Sawyer Invitational...competed in both events four times each...also ran on two 4x200m teams, winning the Baldy Castillo and Sun Angel Classic titles...also ran on the 4x400m relay three times... 2005 Indoor: Competed in the 200m and 400m events twice each...fifth in 200m at the Double Dual before setting a personal best 25.12 to place 10th at the Mountain "T" Invitational...fifth at the Double Dual in the 400m dash with a personal best 58.31...also helped the 4x400m relay to victory at the Double Dual and Mountain "T" Invite... 2004 Outdoor: Placed 17th at the Pac-10 Championships in the 200m dash...took eighth in the 200m at the Double Dual with a season best 24.86...also seventh at 100m at the Double Dual... 2004 Indoor: Competed in the short sprints...placed eighth in the 55m dash at the Double Dual and third in the 200m...also took eighth at the NAU Invite in the 200m... 2003 Outdoor: Captured 17th at the Pac-10 Championships in the 200m dash...ran her personal best in her outdoor collegiate debut at the Bill Sawyer (fifth place)...competed in the 100m dash twice, taking sixth and seventh... 2003 Indoor: In the first race of ASU career, captured gold at the NAU Invite in the 200m dash...also finished in the Top 5 two other times...was 19th in her lone 60m dash of the season at the Mountain T Invite.
High School: A graduate of Cass Technical High School (Detroit)...won three state championships...champion of the 200m as a freshman and then won the 100m and 200m as a senior...earned all-state honors in the 100m, 200m and 4x200m relay all four years of competition...also all-city during the same time frame...earned all-city and all-state honors in the 4x400m relay in 2000...lettered four times in track and field...captained the team as a senior.
Personal: Majoring in kinesiology, but would like to work in the sports medicine field...parents are Richard and Rita Walton...two siblings: Kevin and the late Kenyata...born March 13, 1984, in Detroit...full name is Katrice Vanna Walton...enjoys running, shopping and spending time with family and friends.
