ASU: One of the premier 400 runners in the NCAA... the 1998 U.S. Junior National Champion in the 400, he also ran the lead leg on the United States' World University Games 4x400 relay squad in 1999...returning All-American...holds ASU school record in the indoor 400m (46.16).
2000 Outdoor: Suffered late-season hamstring injury which kept him out of the Pac-10 and NCAA Championships... posted an NCAA provisional time and season-best in the 400m (45.98) at the Baldy Castillo Invitational ...placed second in the 200m at the ASU/USTCA Invitational with a season-best time of 20.95, the team's best time of the year...also placed second in the 400m at the Arizona Elite Classic (46.38).
2000 Indoor: Broke his own school record twice at the NCAAs, placing third in the 400m final with an ASU best 46.16 to earn All-America honors... won the 400m at the Double Dual and placed second at the NCAA last Chance Meet in Ames, Iowa.
1999 Outdoor: Earned All-America honors in the 400 with an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Championship (46.23)... clocked a personal-best 45.83 at the Pac-10 Championship to finish second... finished 19th at the USA Championships (46.97)... finished fourth at Pac-10 Championship in the 200 (21.09)... ran a personal-best time of 20.92 in the 200 at the Double Dual, which ranked as the team's second-best time of the year... ran legs on ASU's 4x100 and 4x400 relays, both of which advanced to the NCAA Championship and recorded top-10 times in school history... the 4x4 squad, which he anchored, earned All-America status with a sixth-place finish (3:06.74) at nationals... the 4x100 team placed second at the Pac-10 Championship and the 4x400 squad fourth... the 4x100 relay registered the fifth-best time in ASU history with a 39.06 at the Sun Angel Classic... the 4x400 relay notched the seventh-best time in school history with a 3:03.94 at the Penn Relays... also ran the lead leg of the United States' 4x400 relay squad at the World University Games... that relay won gold in Palma de Mallorca with a time of 3:00.88... notched victories at the Baldy Castillo (200 and 400), UA/NAU Double Dual (400) and Wildcat Qualifier (400).
1999 Indoor: Broke Herman Frazier's 21-year-old school record in the 400 meters with a time of 46.29 at the Flagstaff Invitational... that time ranked as the fifth-fastest in the NCAA in 1999... did not advance to the finals of the NCAAs after getting tangled up in his heat, finishing third... anchored ASU's 4x400 relay that earned All-America acclaim with a fifth-place finish at NCAAs and broke the school record with a time of 3:08.35 at the Cyclone Classic... captured the MPSF Championship in the 200 with a time of 21.40, third-fastest in ASU history.
1998 Outdoor: Clocked a season-best 46.38 in Edwardsville, Ill., to capture U.S. Junior title in the 400... finished eighth at World Juniors in Annecy, France... also posted fifth-fastest qualifying time in 200 at U.S. Juniors with a 21.19, but did not compete in finals... ran a leg on the second-place 4x400 U.S. squad at the World Junior Championships... ran a 46.46 to finish fourth at Pac-10s in the 400 and was the only freshman to make the final... had three second-place finishes prior to championship meets... anchored ASU's sixth-place 4x400 relay team at Pac-10s (3:12.80).
1998 Indoor: Won 400 in first collegiate meet (UA/NAU Double Dual)... ran a 47.33 (NCAA Provisional time) in 400m at Flagstaff Invitational and a 21.77 in 200 at Cannon IV Classic in Indianapolis, Ind., both indoor season bests... finished sixth in 400 at the MPSF Championship (49.11), while also competing for second-place 4x400 squad.
High School: 1997 graduate of Atwater (Calif.) HS... lettered four years in track, three years in cross country, and one year in football... member of the Merced Valley Flyers Club... fifth fastest high school 400 time in the nation in 1997 with a 46.49... co-MVP in track and field in 1997.
