Arizona State: School record-holder both indoors (12-0.00) and outdoors (12-5.5) following one year of competition for the Sun Devils...is the only woman in program history to clear the 12-foot mark both indoors and outdoors... 2004 Outdoor: Placed 12th in the Pac-10 Championships and tied for 14th at the NCAA West Region meet...set the school record on three separate occasions...only one of her eight marks was not higher than the previous record...won three meets (Bill Sawyer, ASU Invite and Sun Angel)...runner-up at Baldy Castillo Invite and Double Dual... 2004 Indoor: Set the school record (12-00) at the Double Dual where she finished third...also took fourth at the NAU Invite and 10th at the Mountain T Invitational.
Mesa CC: Earned her associates from Mesa Community College (Mesa)...competed for the track team for two seasons...earned All-America honors four times (twice each in indoor and outdoor)...finished as the national runner-up at the NJCAA indoor and outdoor meets in 2002...also was the 2003 indoor national runner-up...took fifth at the outdoor meet...competed for the volleyball team as well.
High School: A 2000 graduate of Shadow Mountain High School (Phoenix)...earned honorable mention honors in her junior and senior seasons with the volleyball team...lettered twice in track and field and three times in volleyball.
Personal: Majoring in BIS with concentrations on kinesiology and business...parents are Billy and Becky Tavlarides...two siblings: James and Despina...sister Despina will graduate from Midwestern Medical School May 2005...born Sept. 17, 1981, in Phoenix...hobbies include sleeping and watching television.
