National championships will be on the line in Eugene, Ore., this weekend as the Sun Devil track and field team wraps up the 2012-13 ASU competition calendar.
Cassulo and Nettey set meet records while Clarke makes history in Los Angeles.
2012 Outdoor: Competed in the NCAA Division I West Preliminary Round in the shot put and discus throw... tossed a career best of 15.68m (51-05.50) in the shot put at the Pac-12 Championships to take fourth place while also placing ninth in the discus throw... threw a career best in the javelin at the Double Dual Meet with a mark of 40.51m (132-11) to finish fourth... finished second at the 33rd Sun Angel Classic in the shot put with an impressive 15.59m (51-01.75) toss while also finishing top eight in the discus throw...placed sixth at the Arizona State Invitational in the discus to set a career best mark of 50.02m (164-01)... competed in the hammer throw at the Baldy Castillo Invite to toss a career high of 46.54m (152-08) in the finals to place sixth...2012 Indoor:competed in the shot put at the MPSF Championships to finish sixth with a mark of 14.73m (48-04.00)...participated in three meets in Flagstaff, Ariz. (NAU Tune-Up, NAU Open and NAU Lumberjack Invitational) in the shot put and threw over 15.00m each time to score points for the Devils...2011 Outdoor: Redshirted
High School: A 2010 graduate of Great Bend High School (Great Bend, Kan.)... lettered four times each in track & field, basketball and volleyball... captained the basketball and volleyball teams twice each... set the state meet record in the shot put and holds the school record in the discus... won seven state titles, including four crowns in the shot put and the last three discus titles... named the Western Athletic Conference Athlete of the Year as a junior and senior... well rounded athlete also was a major contributor in basketball and volleyball... earned all-state honors twice in hoops and three times in volleyball while adding four all-conference selections in each sport... helped the basketball team to the state final as junior... ranks among the Top 5 all-time in GBHS history in all major volleyball statistical categories... member of the National Honor Society... finished in the Top 3 in five events at the Kansas Math Relays.
