High School: A 2001 graduate of Mountain Ridge High School (Glendale, Ariz.)...four-year letter-winner in track, three in cross country...won region cross country title and earned all-state honors (eighth place) as a senior...three-time all-region honoree in cross country...member of state champion 4x800m relay team ('01)...also in track, placed fifth in the mile and sixth in the two mile at the state meet.
