A 2002 ASU Hall of Fame inductee...two-time All-Border Conference selection (1960-61) and was ranked as high as second in ASU annals in scoring (1,393)...ASU's first basketball All-American as a third-team Helms Foundation selection in 1960-61 and a three-year starter (1959-62)…also a second-team All-Small America in 1962...in his three years, ASU was 62-17 (.785) and advanced to two NCAA Tournaments…led ASU in scoring as a junior (19.9) and a senior (17.2)...team leader in free throw percentage in 1960 (.728) and 1962 (.805)...set then ASU single-game scoring record with 37-point effort against Texas-El Paso on Jan. 9, 1962, a mark that was not topped until 1982...ranks among school leaders in single-season and career scoring, scoring average and free throw and field goal made…his 1961-62 Sun Devil squad went undefeated in Border Conference action with a 10-0 mark…an all-city, all-state and all-conference selection at South Mountain High School in Phoenix.
