High School: A 2004 graduate of Elk City High School in Elk City, Oklahoma....was a four-year letterman in baseball and a three-year letter winner in football...was team captain three times in baseball and once in football...helped lead Elk City to four straight league titles...during his freshman season, threw a two-hitter with 16 Ks in the second round of the State Tournament...went 13-1 with a 0.51 ERA as a senior...named All-State and All-League his senior season...named Elk City's Outstanding Athlete.
