2004 (Freshman): Went 0-0 with a 5.68 ERA in nine appearances as a freshman... gave up only two hits and one run in his last three innings of the season (two outings vs. Stanford and New Mexico)... threw a scoreless inning in regular season finale at No. 2 Stanford (5/30)... recorded four strikeouts in two innings at New Mexico (5/18)... struck out a batter in his first outing as a Sun Devil against Utah (2/14)... came in and got a key out against nationally ranked Tulane (3/14) to preserve a 5-1 victory... threw a scoreless inning against Oklahoma State (3/17)... transferred to Washington State following 2004 season.
Pac-10 Bloodlines: His father, Stan Webb, played two years at Washington State in the early 1980's and at Southwestern Junior College in Chula Vista, Calif... pitched his junior and senior year for the Cougars... as a junior he was 3-0 with a 1.03 ERA to rank third nationally... during his senior year he was 6-5 in 13 starts and was 4-1 in Pac-10 North games... signed out of college with the Chicago Cubs... his grandfather, Ron Webb, also played three years at WSU (1953-56)... his uncle, Craig Ehlo, played basketball for the Cougars and went on to play 14 seasons in the NBA... another uncle, Steve Webb, also played baseball for the Cougars from 1984-88... named All-Pac-10 North in 1988 and All-District 9 first baseman after hitting 15 home runs... teammate of John Olerud during his college playing days.
High School: A 2003 graduate of Lewis & Clark High School in Spokane, Wash... earned four varsity letters in baseball... also played varsity basketball and football... coached in baseball by Dexter Davis and in football by Tom Yearout... had the lowest ERA in the Greater Spokane League as a senior as was the batting champ junior and senior years... played in the Area Code Games in 2002... was a four-year all-league selection... hit .350 (21-for-60) as a sophomore and .547 (29-for-53) as a junior with 12 doubles and two home runs... earned league MVP honors as a senior after hitting .609 (28-for-46) with eight doubles and 14 RBI... on the mound he was 6-2 with a 0.67 ERA... played two summers for the Spokane Heat.
Personal: Undecided on a major at ASU... parents are Stan and Jami Webb of Spokane, Wash... has two sisters, Tana (17) and Christina (13)... father played baseball at Washington State... won the Case Youth Award and was a member of R.A.C.E (Racial and Cultural Equality)... played in high school against teammate Colin Curtis... favorite team is the Seattle Mariners and favorite player is John Olerud... models his game after Olerud, who was the 1988 College Baseball Player of the Year as a pitcher and first baseman at Washington State... enjoys fishing and bird hunting... full name is Travis Stanton Webb... born Aug. 2, 1984 in Spokane, Wash.
