High School: A 2006 graduate of Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Ariz....earned four varsity letters...captained his team in 2006...hit .430 as a senior, including 6 homeruns, 39 RBI and 17 stolen bases...had 26 stolen bases as a junior and hit .470 and scored 37 runs as a sophomore...was a Louisville Slugger preseason All-American as a senior...earned First Team All-Region, All-State and was a post-season Louisville Slugger All-American in 2006...earned First Team All-Region and All-Tribune honors and Second Team All-State honors as a junior in 2005...earned First Team All-Region and All-Tribune honors as well as team MVP as a sophomore in 2004...was Second Team All-Region as a freshman...played on the Junior Sunbelt team during the summer of 2005, posting a record of 8-3 and beating undefeated Tennessee...played for the Arizona Diamondbacks Scout team during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons... also earned one varsity letter in football and three in soccer while in high school.
