Career: A two-time First Team Pac-12 All-Conference selection ('11-`12)...finished his three-year career with a .346 (145-419) batting average and a .592 slugging percentage...is just the sixth Sun Devil all-time to led the team in batting average in consecutive seasons (2011-12) and the first to do so since Brett Wallace paced the team from 2006-08.

2012 (Junior):Was a First Team Pac-12 All-Conference selection...started all 56 games, including 55 at second base and one at third base...led the team in batting average (.336), hits (73), stolen bases (11) and assists (180), and second in slugging percentage (.548), runs scored (50), home runs (6) and RBI (47)...ranked among the top 10 in the Pac-12 in a variety of categories, including first in triples (7), seventh in RBI and slugging percentage, sixth in runs scored and steals, and eighth in hits...recorded a team-best 22 multi-hit games and added 11 multi-RBI games... named Pac-12 Player of the Week for March 7...part of USA Baseball's 2012 Golden Spikes Award Midseason and Preseason Watch Lists...named to five preseason All-America teams.

2011 (Sophomore): Burst onto the scene as a sophomore, winning the Pac-10 batting crown with his .368 average...was a First Team ABCA All-American, a Third Team Baseball America All-American, a First Team ABCA All-West Region choice and a First Team All-Pac-10 pick...also earned First Team Academic All-Pac-10 honors and First Team Academic All-District VIII honors...appeared in 52 games, starting 49...bashed a team-leading nine home runs, including three against Stanford on May 1, and drove in 51...led the Pac-10 in batting average (.368), slugging percentage (.663), triples (7) and total bases (128)...collected two five-hit games (at Auburn, Long Beach State)...was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Tempe Regional...drove in 12 runs in six postseason games...participated in the TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby in Omaha.

2010 (Freshman): Saw action in eight games...went 1-9 with an RBI...was perfect in nine chances defensively.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Arcadia High School in Phoenix...a four year starter for Arcadia...team captain in his junior and senior seasons...twice named to the All-Arizona Baseball Team, including being the only junior selected in 2008...named to the 4A All-Star team in 2009...4A East Sky Regional Player of the Year in 2009...named to the ESPN-RISE All-Area team in 2009...ABCA/Rawlings High School All-American and All-Region choice in 2008...hit .550 with 13 home runs and a record 1.130 slugging percentage during his senior season.

Personal: Majoring in finance...son of Jill and Dan DeMichele of Phoenix...has two brothers, Tommy and Danny...says Seinfeld is his favorite TV show...lists former Sun Devil and current Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia as his favorite player...born February 5, 1991 in Phoenix...full name is Joseph Daniel DeMichele.
