Player Bio: Josh Goffi

Josh Goffi enters his second year as an assistant coach to Sheila McInerney after a stellar pro and college career where he was a four-year letter winner on the men's tennis team at Clemson University in South Carolina from 1998-2001. While at Clemson, Goffi earned All-ACC first team honors as a sophomore, junior and senior. During his career at Clemson, Goffi was ranked among the top ten NCAA players in singles (#9) and doubles (#2) while captaining the team in both 2000 and 2001.

As a professional on the ATP Tour, Goffi won three singles titles and 18 doubles titles including singles wins over six players in the top 100 and doubles wins over three players in the top ten in the world. He also had the honor of representing his native country of Brazil in Davis Cup competition in 2004.

Born January 24, 1979, Goffi comes from a coaching family. His father (Carlos) was the World Coach of the Year in 1991 while coaching several ATP touring professionals. Josh now resides in Tempe, Arizona. He received his bachelor's degree in finance from Clemson University in 2001 and is currently pursuing his master's degree in higher and post-secondary education at Arizona State.
