2010 Outdoor: Saw the first action of her Sun Devil career at the Sun Devil Open in the 3,000m run, where she took second place... ran a season-best 1023.47 to take sixth at the Double Dual... competed in the Pac-10 Championships and finished 18th in the 10,000m run (36:30.63)... 2010 Indoor: Did not run... 2009 XC: Did not compete... 2009 Track: Redshirted... 2008 XC: Redshirted.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Urbandale High School (Urbandale, Iowa)... winner of the 2008 Wendy's High School Heisman Award for Iowa and was a finalist for the national honor... four-time Iowa state champion... captured the 3,000m run three times (2005 and 2006 outdoors and 2007 indoors) and one 1,500m title (2007 indoor)... selected Track All-State and All-State Elite in 2005, 2006 and 2007 (injured in 2008)... also earned Cross Country All-State and All-State Elite in 2004, 2005 and 2007... holds three individual and part of two relay school records... times of 4:36 (1,500m), 9:49 (3,000m) and 14:05 (4k cross country) are best in UHS history... also a member of the record distance medley and 4x800m relays... academic all-state selection in 2007... added Academic All-CIML in track and cross country all four years... lettered in cross country and track & field four times each... captain of the track team twice and cross country squad once... named a National Merit Scholar... also selected to the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.
