High School: A 2005 graduate of West Torrance High School (Torrance, Calif.)... in cross country, named Most Outstanding runner at WTHS as a senior after helping the team to a sixth-place finish at the state meet... team also finished ninth in her junior campaign... shined on the track, winning the league title in the 800m run all four years while also helping the 4x400m relay win all four years as well... as a senior, qualified for the state meet in the 1,600m run... was all-area first team before she helped distance medley relay team to fifth place at the 2005 Nike Outdoor Championships to earn All-America honors... team MVP as a freshman and senior... track's athlete of the year as a sophomore... Coach's Award as a junior... also was a nominee for WTHS Athlete of the Year her final three years of school... attained varsity letters in track and field four times and added two honors each in cross country, soccer and volleyball... twice selected to captain the track team... helped a pair of teams advance to the CIF tournaments at the same time her junior year as both the cross country and volleyball teams made postseason play... current Sun Devil Ali Kielty was Spadafino's teammate at WTHS.
