2006 Track: Redshirted... 2005 XC: Redshirted.
High School: A 2005 graduate of D'Evelyn High School (Denver)... during his senior year, was selected all-conference in cross country to qualify for the state meet where he helped the team place third overall... earned four all-conference honors on the track in the 400m dash, 800m run and both the 4x400m and 4x800m relays... helped the mile relay set the school record at 3:25.79, shattering the previous mark by five seconds... track and field team won the 2004 state title and finished second in 2005... earned All-America accolades at the 2005 Nike Outdoor Championships as a member of the 4x800m relay team that set the Colorado prep record with its winning time of 7:43.64... lettered twice in track and field and once each in cross country and golf.
Personal: Majoring in biology... parents are Robert and Cheryl Blahnik... has two siblings, Matt and Katie... born May 2, 1987, in Denver... hobbies include running, sports and listening/playing music.
