2004 Track: Redshirted... 2003 XC: Helped the team to one of its best starts as a true freshman...ran in all six team races for the Devils and placed second at the ASU Invitational...finished 17th at the Roy Griak Invite...placed at the conference, regional and national meet.

High School: A 2003 graduate of Northern Collegiate I&VS (Sarnia, Ontario)...in cross country, won the Canadian National Championship in 2001 and 2002 and also placed second at the Canadian Junior Nationals in 2000...earned spots on two national teams and two world teams (2001-02)...competed in the world junior championships in track and field (Debrecen, Hungary) and cross country (Dublin, Ireland)...on the track, garnered all-city, all-conference and all-province in the 800m, 1,500m and 3,000m runs in 2000...also earned all-city and all-conference in the same events in 2001...her 2:12.16 in the 800m is a school record set in 2000 as is her 1,500m time of 4:33.08 (2001)...member of the school's fastest 4x400m relay as well...captained the cross country and track and field teams from 2000-03...lettered in track and field and cross country four times each.

Personal: Majoring in pre-medicine (chemistry/biology)...parents are Mark and Sharon Crate...has three siblings, Calen, Ashley and Kylee...born July 25, 1985 in Victoria, British Columbia...hobbies include swimming, reading, shopping, soccer and volleyball...full name is Jessica Lynn Crate.
