ASU Club: Competed on the Arizona State Club Track & Field Team before joining the Sun Devils... competed in several meets over the years that ASU has hosted... ran a personal-best time of 1:53.62 in the 800m run at the Sun Angel Track Classic in 2010... posted a best of 3:51 in the 1,500m run at the Puma Outdoor Invitational in 2010 as well.
High School: A 2006 graduate of Dobson High School (Mesa, Ariz.)... lettered three times each in cross country and track & field... captained both teams as a senior... finished fifth in the state championship cross country meet in 2005 and earned all-state honors... two-time all-region selection in cross country (2004, 2005)... finished eighth on the track in the 3,200m run as a junior... competed in the PF Changs Rock and Roll Half-Marathon in 2005 and won his age group (15-17 year olds) in 1:24:28... set the Riverview Park course record in cross country (14:50).
Personal: Majoring in Spanish literature... parents are Francisco Rodriguez and Alicia Wolfenbarger... has two sisters: Krystal Rodriguez and Juliana Rodriguez... born April 2, 1988, in Torrance, Calif.... hobbies include Crossfit, hiking and participating in any sports... full name is Michael Anthony Rodriguez.
