High School: A 2008 graduate of Alta Loma High School (Alta Loma, Calif.)... lettered in track & field and cross country four times each... captained both in his junior and senior seasons... 2007 cross country All-American... all-league in cross country in 2007... 2008 league champion at 3200m... has competed in marathons since age 11... was the top high school finisher at the 2008 Boston Marathon... ran that race in a personal best (2:53.57) just three days after running PR in 3200m run at Mt. SAC Relays on the opposite side of the nation... holds a PR of 1:15.32 in the half-marathon as well.
