Women's Tennis Travels to California For Conference Play

April 6, 2012

TEMPE, Ariz. -

The No. 29 Arizona State University Women's Tennis Team will travel to California Friday afternoon to compete in Pac-12 play against UCLA and USC. The Sun Devils are looking to bounce back after their unsuccessful California trip last weekend which saw the team suffer losses from Cal and Stanford.

"Last week was good for us, playing good teams on the road is tough, but it shows you what you need to work on," head coach Sheila McInerney said. "

UCLA comes into competition ranked No. 1 in the country, and is led by sixth-ranked Robin Anderson who will take on the Devils number ninth-ranked Jacqueline Cako on the main stage.

"I think we really have to compete hard, obviously on paper both teams are good," said McInerney.
