GYMNASTICS (JOHN SPINI/31st SEASON): The Sun Devils went 4-5 overall this season with a 2-3 Pac-10 record. Coach John Spini now owns a 333-169-2 overall record. Highlights from the 2011 season include a win over No. 13 Washington with a season-high score of 195.750. Two other top team scores include a 194.800 and 194.500. Two Gym Devils qualified as individuals for Regionals. Beaté Jones qualified as an all-around competitor and Madison Snowden qualified as a floor specialist. Jones competed in the all-around in all but three meets this season. She hit a season-high of 9.900 on vault and an all-around high of 39.225. Madison Snowden posted a score of 9.925 twice on floor as well as hitting 9.900 two other times. The team's top returnee from 2010, Mary Atkinson was out for the second half of the season with a knee injury. Eight Gym Devils earned Pac-10 All-Academic honors, the most girls out of every gymnastics team in the Pac-10.
