No. 13 Women's Tennis Face Tough Road Test at Stanford, California

March 29, 2011

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The No. 13 Arizona State women’s tennis team (13-3) looks to remain undefeated in Pac-10 play this weekend as they face No. 1 Stanford and No. 10 California on the road in the Bay Area.

The Sun Devils enter the weekend on a five-match win streak, including two wins over top-ten ranked teams and a victory on their home court over the Golden Bears.

ASU has two players ranked in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) top-20 singles rankings, with freshman Jacqueline Cako at No. 11 and senior Kelcy McKenna at No. 19. Both lost their most recent matches against Washington, the only Sun Devil losses of the dual. Despite battling into three sets, Cako snapped an 18-match singles winning streak.

In doubles, the duo of McKenna and senior Micaela Hein also advanced in the ITA rankings, sliding up from No. 30 to No. 18.
