Women's tennis player Nadia Abdala has been named ASU's Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 3rd. Her performance against the highly ranked Cal Golden Bears, which included a victory over Kasia Siwosz, allowed ASU to collect the victory and raise their overall mark to an impressive 12-3 (4-1 Pac-10). The Sun Devils have the next weekend off before heading to Los Angeles to take on USC and UCLA.
Fitting for Senior Day, Nadia Abdala clinched the Sun Devils upset win over No. 10 Cal. The communications senior assured herself that her last competition at Whiteman Tennis Center would be a memorable one as she came out victorious in the thrilling three-setter on Court Three. Abdala defeated Kasia Siqosz 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
