Two Arizona State women's tennis players were honored for their stellar play by the Pacific-10 Conference. Nadia Abdala and Kelcy McKenna were both named to All-Conference teams.
Sophomore Abdala earned First-Team accolades. Abdala finished the season ranked 26th by the ITA. Abdala primarily competed in the No. 1 slot for the Sun Devils and was invited to the NCAA Singles Championships. Abdala also competed in the NCAA Doubles Championships with her partner, sister Laila. Nadia Abdala had been named to the Pac-10 Second-Team last season.
McKenna was named to the Pac-10 Second-Team. The native of North Bend, Oregon made an immediate impact in her freshman campaign tallying a remarkable 33-10 record in singles and 28-9 doubles record. McKenna finished the 2007-08 campaigned ranked 27th by the ITA and was also invited to the NCAA Singles Championship.
Three Sun Devils were also named to the Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention team. Laila Abdala, Jessica Leitch and Wendy Pilecka were each honored for their work in the classroom.
