Arizona State junior golfer Azahara Munoz and senior swimmer Caitlin Andrew were both named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All District VIII team today. Munoz earned First-Team honors while Andrew received Second-Team recognition.
Hailing from Malaga, Spain; Munoz boasts a 3.90 grade point average in psychology. In addition to her success in the classroom, Munoz has helped lead the Sun Devils to their 17th consecutive NCAA Championship appearance. Munoz, who is currently competing at the NCAA Championships, was named Golf World's Best Player You've Maybe Never Heard of this past December and has earned All-American accolades in each of her years at ASU.
Andrew capped her Sun Devil career as one of the school's most successful student-athletes. The San Antonio, Texas native carries a 3.65 GPA in biology. Andrew has earned All-American honors in the butterfly each of her years at ASU, in addition to 13 honorable mention All-American accolades. Andrew also holds five individual school records.
