Kiel Roling Named Pac-10 Player of the Week

April 10, 2007

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State sophomore catcher Kiel Roling has been named the Pac-10 Player of the Week, the conference announced today. It is the second time this season Roling has earned the weekly honor from the Pac-10.

Roling (Grand Junction, Colo.) helped lead the Sun Devils to a weekend sweep of the Stanford Cardinal, thanks to his 6-15 (.462) weekend. He went 4-4 on Thursday night, then followed that up with a 2-5 day on Saturday, including two two-run home runs. His second homer of the game cleared the stadium's outer wall, coming to rest in a parking lot across the street from the park. Roling knocked in six runs in the series and scored five times.

The Player of the Week honor is the second of Roling's career and season, while it is the 82nd such honor for Arizona State
