Rebecca Rankin and Wendy Pilecka earned a trip to the final round of the Pac-10 Invitational Doubles tournament on Saturday at the Pac-10 Championships at the 106th annual Ojai Tournament in . With the win, the pair advanced into the championship match set for Sunday at 12:30 p.m. PST.
Pilecka (, ) and Rankin (), who have posted a 9-1 record playing in the third flight of dual matches for the second half of the season, advanced with a victory over UCLA's Ashley Joelson and Tracy Lin, 8-4. They will face Claudia Hirt and Carmen Seremeta of on Sunday for the Invitational title.
In the Championship draw, Roxanne Clarke (, ) and Kady Pooler's () quest for the Pac-10 title came to an end as they fell in the semi-final round to top-ranked Alice Barnes and Anne Yelsey of Stanford, 8-3.
The tournament concludes on Sunday with the singles and doubles finals throughout the day. Both the men's and the women's finals will be broadcasted live via the internet for free at www.radiotennis.com beginning at 9:30 a.m. PST. The Sun Devils will return home following the conclusion of the tournament to await their fate in the NCAA Selection Show taking place on May 2. The Sun Devils are looking for their nineteenth consecutive appearance in the NCAA tournament when it begins on May 11 at regional host sites.
