TEMPE, Ariz. -- Because the Loop 202 freeway is closed in the westbound direction between Alma School and the Loop 101, and lane restrictions on the eastbound side are scheduled to be in effect until 10 a.m. Saturday, here's the best quick recommendation for drivers heading to Pat's Run.
Due to construction work on the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway this weekend, the Arizona Department of Transportation recommends that drivers, including those of you taking part in Pat's Run, avoid the Loop 202 if at all possible. Instead, consider using other freeways, including the Superstition Freeway (US 60) and approach ASU from the south.
If you are coming from the downtown Phoenix area, use eastbound I-10 to eastbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) and approach ASU from the south (on Mill Avenue or Rural Road).
