Arizona State University, under fifth-year head football coach Dirk Koetter, will begin spring practice Monday, March 21 at 3:45 p.m. at the Bill Kajikawa Practice Facility. ASU will practice an NCAA-mandated 15 times, culminating with the final spring practice on Saturday, April 16 at 2:30 p.m. at Frank Kush Field/Sun Devil Stadium.

In 2005, ASU returns 50 lettermen, including 26 on offense, 21 on defense and three specialists. Nine starters return on offense while six return on defense.

The Sun Devils have three All-American candidates in senior wide receiver Derek Hagan, senior offnsive lineman Grayling Love and sophomore tight end Zach Miller. Hagan was a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award in 2004.

ASU finished 9-3 in 2004 and defeated favored Purdue, 27-23, in the Vitalis Sun Bowl in El Paso.

The Sun Devils open the 2005 campaign on Thursday, September 1, hosting Temple at 7 p.m. MT at Sun Devil Stadium.
