Stanford, CA - The Arizona State Women's Tennis Team stepped up to face possibly their toughest opponent Saturday afternoon as they went head to head with the No.1 Stanford Cardinal.
The Cardinals came in with seven ranked singles players and three ranked doubles duos one of them the number one ranked team of Lauren Barnikow and Erin Burdette.
The Devils, however were unable to get anything rolling against the powerhouse Cardinal as they were swept in doubles and singles.
The Devils fall to 6-13 on the season and 1-6 in the Pac-10 as Stanford steams on with a flawless 20-0 and 5-0 Pac-10 record.
Up next for the Devils are their in-state rivals, the No. 37 Wildcats of Arizona (5-12) in Tucson on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
The match will count towards Pac-10 Standings
