Women's Golf In 17th At Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas. - The Arizona State women's golf team is in 17th place after the first day of competition at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at The Hills Country Club. The Sun Devils shot a combined 342 on the par-72, 6,248-yard course. Freshman Tiffany Tavee (Gilbert, Ariz.) leads the way for the Sun Devils as she sits in a tie for 23rd after shooting an opening round of eight-over-par (80).

Sophomore Alissa Kuczka (Phoenix, Ariz.) is in a tie for 59th at 12-over (84), junior Erin Tone (Gilbert, Ariz.) is tied for 75th at 16-over (88), freshman Lindsay Anderson (El Paso, Texas) is tied for 82nd at 18-over (90) and junior Nicole Deacon is tied for 89th at 21-over (93).

The host of the meet, Texas, is in first place after day one with a score of 309. Vanderbilt's Chris Brady is the leading individual with an even-par 72. Competition continues Monday and Tuesday at the Betsy Rawls Invitational.
