Tempe, AZ- The No. 36 Arizona State Women's Tennis Team, finally snapped their slump on Wednesday afternoon with a shutout of the Iowa State Cyclones.
Iowa State was coming off of a three-match win streak, as the Devils came out and shut down the Cyclones, winning every match of the afternoon.
In doubles play, the Devils snared the point quickly, with two Devil duos taking 8-2 wins and one with an 8-1 win.
In singles ASU was just as flawless, as they all defeated their opponents in only two sets apiece.
Three freshman, Kady Pooler, Vana Tomas, and Wendy Pilecka stepped up big for the Sun Devils, all keeping the Cyclones at bay.
Junior Lauren Colalillo whose win streak in singles was five-in-a-row, extended that streak to six with a 6-1, 6-4 win over ISU's Danielle Uscinski.
The Devils move to 4-7, with the tough No. 13 Lady Tigers of Clemson (11-3) rolling into town on Friday, March 19th.
