April 12 Game Against Arizona To Be Held At Packard Stadium And Raise Money For Jim Brock Tribute

March 15, 2004

TEMPE, Ariz. (www.TheSunDevils.com) -- Arizona State Head Baseball Coach Pat Murphy has announced that the April 12 game against the University of Arizona will be held at Packard Stadium at 7 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from this game will go to benefit the Jim Brock Tribute Fund. ASU is using this unique opportunity to raise money to help honor the legacy of Coach Brock.

The game, which is the second non-conference game of five meetings between the Sun Devils and Wildcats this year, was listed as TBA on the original schedule. The game will be televised live by AZ-TV.

Originally not part of the season ticket package, season ticket holders for Sun Devil Baseball will be given first opportunity to purchase their existing seats in Packard Stadium for the game until March 26. Beginning March 30, the general public will be able to purchase any remaining seats for the game. Ticket prices will be $10 for field level seats, $8 for reserved seats and $5 for general admission. For more ticket information, please contact the ASU ticket office at (480) 965-2381.

A portion of the proceeds will go directly to benefit the improvements being made to Packard Stadium and will help fund a specific project that will honor legendary head coach Jim Brock. Brock coached the Sun Devils to a pair of College World Series championships from 1972-1994, combining for a 1,100-440 all-time record.
