Men's Golf Wins Las Vegas Tournament By Two Strokes

The men's golf team won the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship in Las Vegas Sunday, beating top-ranked Florida by two strokes. ASU shot a 16-under 848 (279-276-293) to hold off the Gators (850). Defending NCAA champion Clemson was third at 5-under 859 (279-292-288).

Three Sun Devils finished tied for sixth at 5-under 211, as Alejandro Canizares (73-67-71), Jesse Mueller (71-68-72) and Chez Reavie (69-68-74) all notched top-six finishes.

It marked ASU's second win of the year, as it won the Tucker Intercollegiate in Albuquerque in September. Chez Reavie now has a stroke average of 69.73 in his past 15 rounds and is 25-under par in that time.
