Four Sun Devils Earn Pac-10 Women's Golf All-Academic Team Honors

Four Sun Devils have been named to the 2003 Pac-10 Conference Women's Golf All-Academic teams, Pac-10 Commissioner Tom Hansen announced Wednesday.

Senior Ga?lle Truet earned first-team honors, while senior Blair O'Neal and sophomore Erin Tone claimed spots on the second team. Sophomore Josefin Gustafsson secured honorable-mention accolades.

Truet makes her first appearance on the Pac-10 All-Academic team, earning a 3.74 cumulative GPA in communication. Truet was named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-Scholar Team last season.

O'Neal makes her second appearance on the Pac-10 All-Academic team with a second-team selection this season, after earning honorable mention honors last year. She carries a 3.29 GPA in communication. Tone, who was also selected to the National Golf Coaches Association All-Scholar Team last season, earns her first Pac-10 All-Academic Team honor with a 3.66 overall GPA in finance.

Gustafsson, who has a 3.00 GPA in kinesiology, scored her first Pac-10 All-Academic selection earning honorable-mention honors.

To be eligible for selection to the conference academic teams, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.00 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor to the team.
