Adria Engel Earns First-Team All-Pac-10 Accolades

May 6, 2003

TEMPE, Ariz. - For the third straight year, Arizona State women's tennis player Adria Engel was named first-team All-Pac-10, announced Tuesday in a vote by the Conference coaches.

Engel, a senior from Glen Ellyn, Illinois, is the team's No. 1 player, posting a 16-4 dual record and has won 10 of her last 13 matches, including knocking off the No. 4, 7 and 10th ranked players in the nation. She is currently 28-11 overall this season and holds a career record of 129-44 (.746).

A three-time All-American, Engel will look to become Arizona State's second four-time All-American selection (Reka Cseresnyes 1995-98). After capturing ASU's first Pac-10 singles title (male/female) as a sophomore, Engel is also the school's all-time leader in wins.
