The Sun Devil Sports Network and Arizona State University have signed an exclusive agreement with "The Valley Sports Authority, AM 1060 The Deuce KDUS" to broadcast the NCAA Regional baseball games and other postseason games should ASU advance, ASU Director of Athletics Gene Smith announced Wednesday.
"We are pleased to announce this association with KDUS 1060 "The Deuce" at a time when our nationally-ranked baseball team begins postseason play," says Smith. "KDUS General Manager Chuck Artigue is excited about the partnership and has always supported Sun Devil athletics. Plus, the signal at 1060 AM is compelling for us and our fans."
Arizona State begins NCAA Regional play Friday, May 30 at 7 p.m., facing Central Connecticut State in first-round action at Tempe Diablo Stadium. Air-time will be at 6:45 p.m. with a 15-minute pregame show. The broadcasts will also include a 15-minute postgame show. Regional play continues through Sunday, June 1. Should ASU advance past the regional, KDUS will carry all games live in their entirety.
Tim Healey, the "Voice of the Sun Devils" for the past five years, and former Arizona Republic beat writer Bob Eger will continue to provide the play-by-play for ASU.
