The Arizona State men's golf team shot a 5-over 293 and is in second place at the National Invitational Tournament held at Omni Tucson National. ASU trails only Texas, which shot a 1-over 289. Fourteen schools are competing in the event, which concludes with single rounds on Monday and Tuesday. The Tucson National Golf Course set layout (par 72, 7,138 yards) is the same for the PGA tour stop, the Chrysler Classic of Tucson.
Freshman Alejandro Canizares is in second with a 3-under 69 while Chez Reavie is tied for third at 2-under 70.
