No. 8 Women's Tennis Top No. 46 Arizona Wildcats 6-1

Tucson, AZ- The No. 8 Arizona State Women's Tennis team began a long week of travel and tough competition with a solid 6-1 victory over the No. 46 University of Arizona Wildcats (4-7).

Throughout the match the Devils remained nearly flawless, a trait they've shown in several of the past matches this season.

The win brings the Sun Devils to a record of 8-3 for the season with two incredibly hard Pac-10 duals coming up this weekend against No. 3 University of Southern California (15-1, 2-0 Pac-10) on Friday March 28 at 1 p.m., and the No. 12 Bruins of UCLA (10-5, 1-1 Pac-10) on Saturday at 12 p.m.; both matches are to be played in California.

In doubles, the Sun Devils went undefeated, sweeping all three matches from the Wildcats.

The No. 29 duo of Lauren Colalillo and Adria Engel started off the day with an 8-5 win over U of A's Dianne Hollands and Debbie Larocque.

The results for singles were almost identical for the Sun Devils, as they won 5 out 6, with only one match advancing to three sets.
